Q: How Big Are The Containers?

The containers measure 8Lx5Wx7H or 280 cubic feet. Each container will typically accommodate an average room to a room-and-a-half of household goods. The containers sit about 4 inches off the ground to insure that your belongings are safe and dry should the weather choose not to cooperate during the time you are loading.
 

Q: What Are The Containers Made Out Of?

Our containers are made of pressure treated 3/4" plywood to provide a very stable and chemical free environment for which to store and transport your belongings. Each container is also covered with a highly durable, weather-resistant cover.
 

Q: Where Will You Place The Container(s)?

The containers will be placed at your residence or business in a location that will be easiest for you to load and unload. They can be placed anywhere a car can be parked and of course most anywhere on private property.
 

Q: How Do I Keep Items From Shifting During Transit?

Packing your container(s) is a simple task! Treat them just like you would a truck, minus the slippery metal ramp to navigate your way up and down. Remember that your containers are only 4" from the ground. Place your heavier items on the bottom and lighter items on the top. Fill in as much empty space as you can and utilize packing supplies! Things like moving blankets and using the appropriate boxes are the single most important factors in a successful move.

Q: How Long Do I Have To Load My Container(s)?

We want customers to be able to load goods into their containers on their own timeline, not ours. At Need Space?, Inc. we allow our customers up to 10 days to load and unload their container(s). While on your property, the container(s) will have a weatherproof cover to keep out moisture and ensure the safety of your goods.
   

Q: How Do I Know How Many Containers I Will Need?

We  will be more than happy to assist you in estimating the number of containers your will need. If you end up getting more than you need, we will be more than happy to pick up the unused container(s) and you will not be charged for it.
 

Q: How Does Payment Work?

Simple. When we deliver your container(s), you sign your contract and pay your fees and charges by method of cash, check or credit card.
 

Q: How Is It Different From Traditional Storage?

With containerized storage you do not have the same worries associated with traditional storage. Our containers are made of wood which allows everything to breathe. In addition we store them in a large indoor facility which makes for the perfect environment for storing household goods, electronics and documents.
 

Q: Can I Access My Container(s)?

Yes. We understand that sometimes you put stuff in storage that you may need to access, therefore we offer free access to our customers. Simply call us four hours in advance and we will get everything set up for you to arrive.

 

Q:  What Are Your Days and Hours Of Operation?

Need Space?, Inc. works to your schedule. Our normal hours of operation are Tuesday – Saturday (9:00am to 6:00pm).  However, we can make special arrangements pick-ups, deliveries or warehouse visits based on your schedule. Q: Are Your Units Are Too Small For My Storage Needs?

Our 8'x5' units are larger than you think.  They can hold up to 2000 pounds and are 280 cubic feet.  If you need more space just ask for more units.  It is not uncommon for customers to get several units for moving or storage. Why pay for unused space in an oversized container!

 

Q: How Far In Advance Do I Book My Container(s)?

Normally we like to have as much notice as possible for pick-ups and deliveries. In most cases we can have your container(s) to you within 48 hours. Please call in advance for specific dates and times.
 

Q: Can I Have A Drop-Off and Pick-Up On The Same Day?

Yes, in most cases we can do same day delivery and pick-up. Depending on delivery schedules, special arrangements can be made to accommodate any schedule.
 

Q: Do You Have Insurance?

Need Space?, Inc. is fully insured. Although, since we do not know the contents of your unit, we cannot insure any loss due to damaged goods. As stated in our contract, the customer is expected to obtain the optional “Tenant-One” insurance offered, if they want to protect their items.
 

Q: What If My Items Are Damaged/Stolen at My Location?

Since you (the customer) provide your own lock for the unit, you are responsible for the security of the unit when it is at your location.  Check with your homeowners insurance to see if your items are insured while the unit is on your location.
